Not too long ago to do windsurfing was something not that simple to achieve.
The boards were bigger, narrower, more unstable and very much heavier.
The sails were more like a piece of cloth than the "wings" they are today, very light and easy to handle.
The masts were thick, hard and heavy. So the act of lifting the sail was a job not that easy to do.
In summary, to do windsurfing in those times you required to be courageous besides to have some talent, skills and certain ability for masochism.
Today, the whole game of learning windsurfing is just a pleasure. Everything is light and easy.
The boards that we have for instruction are ridiculously stable and comfortable even for a guy with lots of pounds.
The modern sails are so light that kids of 7 are sailing today. And we have all the sizes according to your height and weight.
Our masts for a regular sail can weight something as absurd as 2 pounds!

These, besides our teaching expertise, are good reasons why you should learn to windsurf here in Roatan.
The school is located within the perfect spot in the island for the practice of windsurfing.

J.
